SXSW 2008 is turning into a very fun time. However, it is not as cheap as last year as I tip people working the open bar for drinks, which is just the right thing to do.

Diplo was spinning at a secret house show last night, but I believe I had more fun talking to some people that I haven't seen in a long time. And also to other photographers about photography. It's nice to meet passionate people.

I took the plunge and bought a new camera yesterday, the Canon 40D. I ordered the CF card (4 GB) through Amazon.com, which means I have a beautiful piece of machinery that just sits on my shelf right now until I get the CF card in the mail. I'm itching to play with it so bad.

So I am going to try this photoblog thing, rather than completely rely on my flickr account. It's sort of professional, eh?
